AGAiN won the 2009 edition of the World Cyber Games with a 2-0 win over fnatic.
The match began on de_nuke, where AGAiN made use of the advantage of playing on defence, winning the first half 9-6. But that did not impress fnatic, who responded in the same manner, until AGAiN rediscovered themselves and set the score at 15-13. With two map points at hand, the Polish giants could not apply the finishing touch, allowing the Swedes to level the game on 15 rounds.
Several overtimes then followed, but AGAiN would close the curtain in the fourth overtime, sealing a 28-26 victory.
The match was then moved off the main stage to the regular tournament area, but that did not affect AGAiN. On de_train, a lively start from fnatic earned them several rounds in a row as they stormed to a 7-1 score, when AGAiN finally managed to respond, taking the game to 8-7 in favour of the Swedish side at half time.
But AGAiN came out strongly in the second half to catch up, eventually setting the score at 15-10 in their favour. fnatic attempted to come back into the game, winning the next two rounds, but the Polish squad made sure to confirm their superiority, winning the match 2-0.
